Extra Credit Opportunity for the 3rd Quarter

I am going to offer extra credit to any student who is interested in watching a new show on the history H2 channel. The show is called "America Unearthed". It's focus is to research interesting historical mysteries from our past. This is what you will need to do to earn the credit:

• You will need to watch the episode.
• While watching the episode you will need to learn what information is being provided as evidence for or against the topic of the show. For example, in the American's Mayan Secrets episode what evidence has been provided and researched that supports the theory that Maya people migrated into what is now the southeastern part of the United States? This information should be included in a write-up about the episode.
• Finally, in your write-up about the episode, you will need to state what you believe about the topic in the episode. Do you agree with the findings of the man in the episode or not? Explain in your write-up. 
• We will hold a lunch meeting for all students who have participated in this. I will ask you questions about the episode at that time.
